# Workspaces and team members

A workspace holds your templates, folders and API keys. Invite your team to a workspace to work on them together.

Everyone starts with a workspace of their own. Use the workspace menu at the top of the dashboard to switch between workspaces or to create a new one. An admin renames or deletes a workspace in **Settings** › **General**.

## Inviting a member

1. Open **Settings** in the dashboard and select **Members**.
2. Enter their email and choose a role.
3. Click **Send invitation**.

They get an email with a link to join. The link works once and expires after 7 days. To accept, they sign in, or create an account, with the email address you invited. A workspace holds up to 50 members.

## Pending invitations

Invitations nobody has accepted yet are listed under **Pending invitations**, with the days they have left. Resend one to email a fresh link, or revoke it to take it back. Either way, the old link stops working.

## Roles

Every member is an admin, an editor or a viewer.

| | Admin | Editor | Viewer |
| ----------------------------------------- | ----- | ------ | ------ |
| Open and preview templates | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Create, edit, move and delete templates | Yes | Yes | No |
| Invite members, resend and revoke invites | Yes | Yes | No |
| Change roles and remove members | Yes | No | No |
| Create and revoke API keys | Yes | No | No |
| Rename the workspace | Yes | No | No |
| Delete the workspace | Yes | No | No |
| Leave the workspace | Yes | Yes | Yes |

A viewer opens templates read-only. Only an admin can invite another admin, and a workspace always keeps at least one admin.

## API keys belong to the workspace

An API key acts as its workspace, not as the person who created it. It reaches every template in the workspace and keeps working when its creator leaves. **Settings** › **API keys & agents** shows who created each key, so an admin can revoke the keys of someone who left.

## Leaving a workspace

Open **Settings** › **Members** and click **Leave workspace**. You lose access to its templates and API keys. The last admin cannot leave: make another member an admin first.

## Deleting a workspace

An admin deletes a workspace in **Settings** › **General** › **Delete workspace**. To confirm, type the workspace's name. Deleting removes its templates, folders, version history and API keys for everyone in it, and cannot be undone. Apps that call its API keys get errors from then on.

Members lose access, and you land in another workspace you belong to. If it was your only workspace, you get a new, empty one.
